Checklist for Hosting a Webinar for the first time.
Things to remember while Hosting a Webinar for the first time.
Webinars are especially great for B2B businesses that want to showcase the power of their product to a large group of people with relatively lesser effort compared to hosting a physical event.
Hosting a webinar for the first time is a daunting task for a newbie. It was nerve-wracking for me on my first time because of a hundred variable things that could go wrong.
I have hosted quite a few webinars during the past year, and over time, nerves settled down, with that experience I have created a checklist that helps get things in action, helps focus on the items that are in your control versus those that aren’t!.
Before I share my checklist, here are my few key things to get to remember when you planning to host a webinar!
First things first, there are a bunch of things that you need to decide —
Speakers — How many speakers would be there? Who would be these speakers? Do you need a moderator?
Topic — What is the topic that you want to host a webinar on? A catchy Title is what will get you the most eyeballs & registrations. Make sure to get that right!
Date & Time — It is vital to align the timing according to your potential target customers’ time zones.
Tool/Platform — Where would you host the webinar depending on the scale? Identify tools that can make your life easier a well as the viewers.
Landing Page — A Conversion focused landing page that can generate registrations.
Identifying Target Audience — Who are you targeting this webinar for? Where will you find them & how will you get them to register? What new information will they learn through your webinar?
Once you have the above sorted, the next step involved is figuring out a promotion plan to drive registrations to your webinar.
Whilst, promoting a webinar is an entirely new challenge in itself, here are a few things you could do to promote your webinar. Check that out here — https://medium.com/@pranavdivakar/heres-how-to-promote-your-first-webinar-722e98ade574
